In this beautiful day, Marc will explore the Dubai Deira spice souk with his friend Nazih and share his thoughts about his culinary experience at Bayt Al Wakeel restaurant.

The great outdoors await us as temperatures subside and we set out on a visit to the Dubai Deira spice souk market located in Deira next to the gold souk. From spices, dried herbs, souvenir, stencils and much more. I really enjoyed the walking through the narrow lively alleyways, exploring the Dubai historical district. It’s a beautiful spot for taking pictures and spend the day. Don’t forget to take a boat ride for only one dirham across the greek, you will surely enjoy it!

BAYT AL WAKKEL LUNCH

After walking for hours me and Nazih we discovered Bayt al wakeel without looking to any website review. Bayt Al Wakeel is located in Bur Dubai Overlooking the Creek. The restaurant felt very welcoming for its location. The terrace had a dozen tables with a marvelous view where you can Watch the abra small boats crossing the Creek and the bigger boats passing by. The setting of the restaurant had a unique charm.

The waiter seated us on the table and gave us the menu. They had a large variety of menu from fresh fish, lobster, and Lebanese mezze… We decided to choose the appetizers plate selection and mix seafood platter. All the staff was very welcoming friendly and knowledgeable. Let’s talk about Bayt al Wakeel food! The appetizers were good. However, When serving Lebanese dishes, they have to be up properly perfected in my personal opinion. The selection of mezze hummus, wine leaves and tabbouleh lacked flavors and didn’t really liked the presentation. That’s why I have mentioned that it was good. The Selection of fresh fish was outstanding, Everything was cooked to perfection, definitely, fresh fish was served, the taste was charcoaly and tangy. Beautiful dish!
